Meet Tina Courpas

Tina was first elected to the CT House of Representatives in 2024.

A member of the Housing Committee, she has been a staunch defender of local control of zoning.   On the Appropriations Committee, she has established herself as a forceful voice for fiscal responsibility.  In 2025, Tina identified a Connecticut constitutional issue during House floor debate on a bill involving funding for a new spending initiative.  Twice dismissed by the majority, she respectfully persisted, and the Speaker of the House ultimately ruled in her favor. As a result, that bill required a 2/3 constitutional vote to pass.

In just her first year in office, Tina was entrusted with serving as House Ranking Member of the newly created Select Committee on Special Education. A moderate voice who has demonstrated an ability to work across the political aisle, she played a leading role in crafting bipartisan educational reform in 2025. The bill passed both houses unanimously.

Tina brings more than 20 years of experience in investment banking and corporate law to public service, beginning her career at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and working most recently at Silver Point Capital in Greenwich. She also served as Executive Director of The Hellenic Initiative, the largest Greek Diaspora organization in the world, and as Executive Director of the Permanent Commission on the Status of Women in Connecticut.

A 20-year resident of Greenwich's Glenville neighborhood, Tina raised her four children in the 149th District. She holds an A.B., magna cum laude, from Princeton University and a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. The daughter of Greek immigrants, she has been active locally as a volunteer for Domus Kids in Stamford, her church, and in her children's schools.
